So, nearly every smell and every song has a memory for me. I never really paid much attention to smells until I was pregnant with Bryce. I remember we lived in this little apartment in royal farms. Trever brought home KFC for dinner, and when I walked into the kitchen to meet him at the door, I vomited all over the kitchen floor. Needless to say, I haven't eaten KFC since. During my second pregnancy, I had to move out of the house we lived in because of the way it smelled, and I can no longer use Garnier Fructese because it makes me sick. The smell that gets me now is Avaguard--you know what I mean, it's the smell of work, or sickness, of East 8.
As for music----Doesn't my song playing now explain it all. The spice girls are so much fun. This song just takes me back to cheerleading and our highschool dances. Following the spice girls--New Kids on the Block. I usually went to a babysitter after school because my mom wasn't around. Well the babysitter had MTV and we would watch the New Kids and dance. That was one of my favorite memories growing up, and it is still so vivid. I think I tie a song to nearly every event in my life. Middle school, High School, College, my wedding, my children, it is so crazy. I love how music has that power to transport me to another time and place so quickly. Anytime I want t0 visit Hawaii I listen to Freshmen by the verve pipe. It was always playing on the TV the first time I went there. Anyway, thanks meg, it's been fun to take a trip down memory lane. I tag----anyone who feels the need to write about how music has effected them. Oh, and Cheryl, because she will be the last to respond (ha ha ha)--love ya cheryl
