The Good Samaritan
As I was driving to work this morning I found myself slipping and sliding on the freeway. Now, being the amazing winter driver I am have never been in an accident. I am usually traveling slow enough to prevent any sliding. I am also pretty good at getting myself out of a sliding situation. However, this morning was a different story. Try as I may, I could not pull my car out of the sudden spin. traveling backwards down the icy freeway (in the canyon) I realized I had only one option---either hit the cement barrier, or the snow covered mountain. I of course chose the latter! I loud thud followed by a sudden stop jolted me nearly out of my seat. I can't believe it my first accident. I fumbled for my phone to contact the charge nurse at my work. Shaking I told Diane that I didn't think I would make it in today. Diane's voice seemed to calm me a little and she asked if I was okay. I hung up the phone and just sat there thinking about what had happened, I tried a few times to test out the four wheel drive, but to no avail--I was stuck. Great now what. I called Trever and he immediately told me that he would take care of it. Several vehicles stopped to see if I was okay, and I told them that someone was on their way. Luckily the policeman that arrived on the scene was Justin Hemingway (a kid I knew from school) He was so nice and helped me check out the damages to my car. Then kind old man stopped and towed me out. He was such a good samaritan. So, I am grateful that there are still those kind of people in our world. The kind that are willing to stop at the side of the road and lend a helping hand. Thanks to my good samaritan I eventually made it home safely, a little shaken, but unharmed.

Right after I graduated from high school I wrecked going over Rockport Dam. I walked away with a bruise on my arm and that's it. It scared me too and like you, I was lucky enough to have some nice people stop and make sure everything was okay. I am sorry about your morning Jen--I am glad you are okay! :)
Holy smokes Jen that is soo scary!! I am SOO glad you are ok!! This damn snow and ice on the roads needs to end!!!
Glad that you are okay!! It is nice to know that there are people out there that are willing to help us. I have had a few experiences myself, that I feel truly blessed that there are such people as "Good Samaritans". Hope you are feeling okay! If you need something let me know.
I was so glad to hear you were ok this morning. I missed you at work but glad you were home after such an awful experience. Take it easy for awhile. Luv ya dear.
I'm glad you're ok...and I hope your car is ok too. That is why I live in St. George...SNOW FREE! :) I cannot handle the snow driving.
EGADS!!!! That is horrible! That is one of the worst feeligns in the world, being out of control like that....backwards down the freeway...whoohoo! Joyride! So glad you're okay. That's why I'm thinking of hibernating during the winter months....just have to talk my boss into it.
oh my gosh, Jen! I'm so glad that you're ok!! And I"m glad so many people helped you out..there really are good people still in the world..you're proof of that!
Jen...glad you are OK! There are easier ways to get out of going to work, you know.
You know what really gets to me? For years you drove that little red thing up and down the canyon multiple times a day. Often I would be so worried about you but you always told me there was nothing to worry about.... and nothing ever happened. Then FINALLY you upgrade your red thing to a nice Four Wheel drive and NOW you have an accident?!?! I just don't get it!! I am very glad you are okay! PS-I have photoshop!! Opened it up and said "What the!!!" So now I really need your help!
